Receiving with Alipay can be done in one of the two ways.

  1. How to collect the remittance via Alipay Wallet
    * It is easier to receive via wallet since card binding is not needed.
    * Receiver with Hong Kong and Macau resident's mainland travel permit can receive in the wallet.
  2. How to collect the remittance via account linked with Alipay
    * After registering [Bank Card], name, ID type and number, and mobile phone number must be entered and verified to receive the remittance.


◈ Please follow the steps below to collect remittance in Alipay

  1. Please check the recipient's account information.
    * Recipient's Alipay ID
    * The recipient's first name + last name (in English) used when opening an account linked to Alipay
  2. Please check the tutorial on how to receive via Alipay wallet and linked account.


◈ Please follow the instruction below to receive the remittance in the Alipay wallet feature.

    The remittance may be paid to the linked bank card depending on the payment priority setting of the receiver.

  1. The receiver must set the preferred collection method in the setting.
    1) The receiver proceeds with real-name authentication in the Alipay app.
    2) Agree to the terms and conditions of the wallet service.
    3) Set the 'Wallet' as the first preferred payment.
  2. Sender needs to select the purpose of remittance as either 'Salary' or 'Family Support' when requesting remittance.
  3. Sender's name must be a Chinese name (Pinyin) for the receiver to receive it in the wallet. (Regardless of nationality)

 

※ if the recipient cannot link the account, pleases try one of the steps below.

  1. Select a different bank account.
  2. Contact the bank linked with Alipay to update the information.


※ Please refer to the following information before sending remittance.

  • Each receiver can collect a remittance up to 15 times per calendar month.
  • Remittance to business/corporate accounts is not allowed.
  • Payment cannot be made to a different person's account from the original recipient of the remittance.
  • Transfers are only possible if the bank account linked to Alipay is correct.
